UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Sep 12 — The Russian army attacked Borova village in the Izium district with a double-tap strike, killing two and injuring seven people, said Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast.
Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.
After the first cluster munition strike, emergency workers arrived at the hit site, then the Russians attacked the village again. According to Tertyshnyi, three rescuers were also among the injured.
Oleksandr Tertyshnyi said that the Russians hit civilian infrastructure, damaging residential buildings and shops.
On September 10, Russians attacked rescuers with a double-tap strike while they were putting out a fire caused by Russian shelling in Kupiansk. During the firefighting, the Russians repeatedly attacked the location with artillery.
