KHARKIV OBLAST, UKRAINE, Apr 29 — On April 28, the Russian shelling of the Kharkiv region injured two civilian men and a woman, said Oleh Syniehubov, Kharkiv Oblast Governor.

In total, in just one day, about 15 towns and villages in the Kharkiv Oblast came under Russian artillery and mortar fire. The Russians also hit Velyka Pysarivka with airstrikes.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russian troops have attacked the Kharkiv region that borders the Russian Belgorod Oblast multiple times per day. They’ve intensified the shelling since March 2024, targeting both civilian and critical infrastructure in the region, exploiting the lack of air defense systems and missiles in Ukraine caused by the delay in US military assistance.

According to Oleh Syniehubov, on April 28 at 3:20 p.m., the Russian army shelled Strilecha in the Lyptsi community, injuring a 59-year-old civilian man.

In Kupiansk, at 10:50 a.m., a private household was destroyed during a Russian artillery attack. The shelling injured a 35-year-old woman and a 52-year-old civilian man.

On the same day, April 28, at 9:20 a.m., the Russians shelled Vovchansk with artillery, damaging two private houses, and dropped a guided aerial bomb on a private enterprise in Vovchansk.

In addition, on April 29, at 2:00 a.m., Russians hit Zahryzove of the Borova community with an KAB bomb, damaging a private house.
