UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Jul. 13 — Russian forces attacked Kharkiv 34 times over the past week, killing three and injuring 92 people, including 12 children, said Ihor Terekhov, the mayor of Kharkiv.
According to the mayor, Russians used glide bombs, rocket artillery, kamikaze drones of different types, and first-person view (FPV) drones, including with fiber-optic cables.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city, Russian attacks damaged medical and educational institutions, a hotel, and utility networks.
Russians attacked a residential area and launched a Banderol drone at a five-story apartment building in Kharkiv’s Nemyshlianskyi district, destroying the last floor.
Also, Russians continued to attack gas stations in the city. Terekhov said about cases involving double taps.
“The Russians are openly using tactics of exhaustion. They combine different types of weapons, strike several districts a day, and cynically return to locations that have already been destroyed,” the mayor said.
Over the past day, Russian forces attacked 17 settlements in the Kharkiv oblast with two missiles, rocket artillery, and 49 drones of different types.
