UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Aug 1 — The Russian attacks in the Kharkiv region killed two people and injured three others over the past day, reported Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast.

Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian artillery shelling and air strikes often, even more so since Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the region in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions in May.

The Russian shelling killed a man in Novoosynove village, Kupiansk district, damaging a garage, a car, and two houses, Syniehubov said.

The Russian army dropped three glide bombs (KABs) on Horiane, killing the rescuer’s wife and injuring her 10-year-old son. The bomb attack damaged the roofs and windows of six houses.

According to the governor, the Russians also dropped KABs on the village of Shevchenkove, injuring a 55-year-old man, damaging a house and an outbuilding as well.

Russians launched an Iskander-M missile at Izium, injuring a 58-year-old woman.

In addition, Russia shelled the village of Pidserednie and Velykyi Burluk, Kupiansk district. There were damaged houses and burned grass in the aftermath.
