On Feb. 22, around 10:30 a.m., Russia launched four strikes on Kharkiv. Two people were injured by the shelling.

  • According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, occupiers hit the Kyivskyi district of the city.
  • Infrastructure objects were the Russian military`s target, emphasized the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov.
  • Two men, aged 46 and 57, were injured and hospitalized.
  • Emergency services units and medics are working to eliminate the consequences of the attacks.
  • According to preliminary information, the strikes were carried out by S-300 air defense missiles. S-300 (NATO reporting name SA-10 Grumble) anti-aircraft missile systems are used for air defense, but the Russian occupiers use them to attack ground targets.

Moreover, on Feb. 21 and 22, Russian invaders attacked at least 20 border settlements of the Chuhuiv, Kupiansk, and Kharkiv districts in Kharkiv Oblast.

On Feb. 16, occupants shelled Kharkiv with S-300 missiles at night. They launched five rocket attacks on the city targeting infrastructure facilities.
