UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Oct 3 — Over the past day, there have been two combat clashes in the Kharkiv direction. The Russians carried out eight airstrikes using 17 glide bombs (KABs), 35 kamikaze drone strikes and launched 324 attacks from other weapons at the positions of the Defense Forces, reported the “Kharkiv” group of forces.
Russia started its new offensive north and northeast in the Kharkiv region in May, but Ukrainian troops have stabilized the frontline in this section since. Now, heavy battles are ongoing in and around Vovchansk (three miles from the border, 46 miles away from Kharkiv) and near Lyptsi (six miles from the border, 12 miles from Kharkiv.)
The “Kharkiv” reported that near Hlyboke, the Russian military is trying to strengthen the units on the front lines logistically. In the area of Starytsia, Russians are equipping positions and evacuating their losses there, “Kharkiv” wrote.
In Vovchansk, new personnel arrived to drone and artillery units of the 82nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 69th Motorized Rifle Division of the 6th Army. The cooperation between the units on the front lines has improved, noted “Kharkiv.”
At night, the Russian army tried to restore and establish communication and delivered provisions and ammunition. However, there is a lack of warm clothes and medicines for the Russian personnel, “Kharkiv” said
According to “Kharkiv,” over the past day, the Russian army lost 59 troops in the Kharkiv direction, including one who surrendered.
The Russians also lost 69 units of weapons and military equipment in the Kharkiv direction, including one tank, one armored combat vehicle, four artillery systems, 15 vehicles, five units of special equipment, 43 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 64 shelters for personnel, one UAV launch pad, and one ammunition storage site.
