UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Jun. 26 — Russian forces are attempting to advance toward the village of Kozacha Lopan in northern Kharkiv Oblast, Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the group of forces responsible for Kharkiv oblast , said on national television.

According to Trehubov, Russian attacks have been recorded from the border village of Hraniv, located four kilometers (two miles) from Kozacha Lopan. Trehubov said Russian forces had not previously attempted to advance in this area.

However, on June 19, DeepState, an OSINT war-monitoring group, marked Hraniv as a gray zone, meaning active combat clashes are taking place there and neither side has confirmed control over the area.

Trehubov also added that in the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops are trying to reduce Ukraine’s bridgehead east of the Oskil River and push into Kupiansk itself.

In the Vovchansk direction, the situation remains largely unchanged: Russian units continue active combat operations but have not made significant gains, Trehubov said.
