Kupiansk is currently being fortified via circular defense as Kharkiv was, reported Oleh Syniehubov, the head of Kharkiv regional military administration, during the briefing. 

“We built up Kupiansk defense following Kharkiv’s defense example, when, at the beginning of the war, [we] have created several levels of fortifications. I will not get into details, but we’re doing everything necessary so that soldiers are involved only in the destruction of the enemy,” Syniehubov said.

According to Syniehubov, fortifications are being built in all strategic directions. The ones with the biggest priority are the Sumy, Kupiansk, Lyman, and Borova axes. These fortifications are being strengthened and perfected daily.
