As of August 5, 2023, 183,463 internally displaced persons were officially registered in Kharkiv. This is more than 35% of all IDPs in the Kharkiv region. Gwara Media reported with reference to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
Most of the displaced persons live in Shevchenkivskyi district (32,100 people). Slightly less in the Saltivskyi district, which has sheltered 30,670 people.
511,759 people have registered as IDPs in Kharkiv region. Among the districts and settlements of the region, the most significant number of IDPs live in Kharkiv, while in Kharkiv district – 90,343 people.
The largest number of IDPs in the Kharkiv region are registered from Kharkiv (333,816 people), Luhansk (67,334 people) and Donetsk (64,651 people) regions.
