On the night of August 9-10, the Russian military dropped a bomb on Kupyansk. As a result, the city council building was damaged.

“At midnight, the enemy struck Kupyansk with a FAB-250 guided missile. The city council building was damaged. At 7:30 a.m., the enemy shelled Kupyansk again, a house was damaged,” said Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

According to the governor, Kupyansk, Petropavlivka, Pershotravneve, Cherneshchyna, Podoly, Dvorichna, Masiutivka and other localities are under enemy fire. Private houses and outbuildings were damaged and fires broke out.

Also, around midnight, a 41-year-old civilian man and a 39-year-old woman were wounded due to shelling in the village of Kindrashivka, Kupyansk district.

According to the General Staff, the adversary tried to advance near two villages in the Kupyansk sector. Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensives throughout the day in the Nadiya area of Luhansk region, five kilometers from Pershotravneve in Kharkiv region and south of Novoselivske in Luhansk region.

The FAB-250 is a Soviet-designed 250-kilogram (550 lb) general-purpose air-dropped bomb with a high-explosive warhead, primarily used by the Russian Air Force, former Soviet republics and customer Countries.
