On March 26-27, the Russian army shelled at least 17 settlements in Kharkiv Oblast. The border towns and villages of the Kharkiv, Kupiansk, and Chuhuiv districts were under fire.
Kharkiv Regional Military Administration: one killed and one injured by mines in Kharkiv Oblast
- On March 27, a 62-year-old man from Buhaivka, Chuhuiv district, blew himself up on a mine near a pond in Kharkiv Oblast. He has been hospitalized in moderate condition.
- On March 26, a 5-story residential building and a private household were damaged in Kupiansk. Moreover, farm buildings were ruined by shelling.
- On March 26, the enemy fired mortars and other weapons at the village of Dvorichna in the Kupiansk district. A residential building and farm buildings were damaged.
- On March 26, 59 explosive objects were defused in Kharkiv Oblast.
- On March 26, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to conduct offensive actions in the area of the village Synkivka in the Kupiansk district.
- On March 25, Russians shelled Kupiansk, Vovchansk, Strilecha, and other settlements in Kharkiv Oblast.
- On March 25, a 70-year-old civilian was killed by stepping on an unknown explosive device in Shestakove in the Chuhuiv district.
- As a result of the tank shelling of the village of Tymofiivka in the Bohodukhiv district on March 25, a residential building and farm buildings were destroyed, and two more houses were damaged.
- On March 25, residential buildings were damaged in Vovchansk.
General Staff: the enemy tried to conduct offensive actions in the area of Synkivka
- The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Synkivka, Bilohorivka, and Vesele on the Kupiansk and Lyman axis on March 26.
- The Russians shelled Kupiansk and Tabaivka with artillery on March 26.
Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office:
The body of the 28-year-old civilian was exhumed in Maly Prohody. The woman died during the shelling of the village on August 7, 2022. One of the shells fell into the yard of the house and exploded. The body of the deceased was sent for examination.
Kharkiv Police Press Service:
On March 25, the police exhumed the bodies of two civilians. Investigators established that residents of the Kamianka, Izium district village died in March 2022 during an aerial bombardment. The bodies of the deceased were sent for forensic examination. The police have opened criminal proceedings regarding violations of the laws and customs of war.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine:
As of March 20, sappers have demined about 1% of the mined territory in Kharkiv Oblast. Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, pyrotechnics have defused more than 60,000 munitions in the region.
