UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, May 11 — Ukrainian forces recently advanced near the village of Borova, southeast of the Kharkiv oblast, reported the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), referring to geolocated footage published on May 9.
Analysts said that footage shows that Russian forces shelled Ukrainian positions near the village of Sehiivka, 23 kilometers (14 miles) southeast of Borova, indicating that there are likely no Russian troops positioned in this area.
At the same time, DeepState, a Ukrainian OSINT war monitoring group, recorded no Ukrainian advances in this area.
On May 8, Ukraine and Russia, with U.S. mediation, agreed to a three-day truce from May 9 to May 11. However, both sides repeatedly accused each other of violating the ceasefire.
On May 10 alone, Ukrainian authorities said that Russia killed at least one and injured 19 people across Ukraine. Meanwhile, Russia claimed that Ukraine violated the ceasefire over 9,000 times on May 9.
Yevhen Artkemeychuk, the spokesperson of Ukraine’s 10th Army Corps, also said that Russia didn’t conduct any assaults on the Kupiansk (east of the Kharkiv region) and Borova directions.
At the same time, Artelemeychuk said that Russian troops continue to attack Ukrainian positions with the first-person view (FPV) and Molniya drones. He also added that Russians use the ceasefire to build up their forces and improve logistics.
