UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Nov 18 – On the evening of November 17, Russian troops attacked Kupiansk twice, injuring a 65-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman. The apartments on the fifth and fourth floors of a multi-story residential building were on fire, reported Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Kharkiv Oblast.
Towns and villages of the Kharkiv Oblast come under massive Russian shelling and air strikes, often during the full-scale invasion, as Moscow targets civilian and critical infrastructure in the region.
The Russian attack on Kupiansk also destroyed a house, Syniehubov said.
An 84-year-old man sustained an explosive injury in the village of Hlushkivka, Kurylivka community, as a result of shelling on the afternoon of November 17. In addition, the Russians damaged a house in Kupiansk.
The roof of a warehouse building caught fire in Ruska Lozova, Derhachi community, due to the fall of two Shahed drones’ debris.
In the Zolochiv community, six glide bombs hit the villages of Basove, Odnorobivka, Baranivka, and Stohnii over the past day. All of them hit the open area.
