KHARKIV OBLAST, UKRAINE, Apr 17 — The Russian army hit Zolochiv, Vesele, Volokhivka, Hlushkivka, Kolisnykivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv Oblast with airstrikes, according to the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As the General Staff reported, there were 68 combat clashes along the frontline over the past day. Russia launched two missile strikes and 64 airstrikes and fired 75 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various towns and villages.

Russian troops did not conduct any assaults in the Kupiansk direction over the past day. As Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, commented to Gwara Media, the situation in the Kupiansk direction is currently calm, and the Russian army is rotating units to renew its offensive in the area.

In the Slobozhanskyi direction, in the border areas, the Russian military conducts intense sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to more dangerous directions and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod Oblast.

In total, the Russian army fired mortars and artillery at more than 110 settlements in the Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts.
