KHARKIV, UKRAINE, Feb 27 — The Russian army uses household fans sold in France for 13 euros to produce guided bombs.

During a meeting with journalists in Kharkiv, French Ambassador to Ukraine Gael Veyssiere commented on the situation and said that the Government was working on this information.

“Certain checks [investigations] are underway. It’s much easier to sanction and control military or dual-use equipment than what is in the consumer category. But the situation has attracted our attention and is now being processed,” he said.

About the presence of French components in Russian missiles

The Russian army uses household fans sold in France for 13 euros to produce guided aerial bombs, reported Oleksandr Ruvin, the head of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.

“We have seen engines from guided aerial bombs (KABs). They are from an ordinary fan sold in France for 13 euros. The Russians take it apart and mount it on a mechanism that opens the wings of the bomb,” he said.

According to Ruvin, the number of foreign elements in Russian weapons has not decreased significantly since the start of the full-scale invasion.
