UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Nov 5 – On November 4, the detonation of an explosive device in the Izium district injured two boys aged 11 and 12, reported the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
Kharkiv Oblast is one of the most heavily mined regions. More than 570,000 hectares of land in the Kharkiv region need to be inspected for mines and explosive devices after the Russian occupation.
The victims sustained explosive injuries, including multiple shrapnel injuries to their legs. The children are in the hospital.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, explosive experts seized and defused 103,561 explosive devices in the region.
Currently, 39 pyrotechnic teams and 213 sappers work in the Kharkiv region, using 98 pieces of equipment, including 12 mechanized demining machines.
