Oct. 9 – Overnight, Ukrainian Defense Forces struck facilities in Russia that reportedly were involved in missile launches and rocket fuel production, reported Ukraine’s General Staff.
Near Dalneye Konstantinovo-5 settlement in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod region, Ukrainian forces struck a facility belonging to the Barmin Research Institute for Launch Systems, part of Russia’s JSC Center for Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Operations.
The center develops and manages rocket launch facilities, fueling equipment, and control systems.
Ukrainian forces also struck a facility used for dismantling intercontinental ballistic missiles near Surovatikha settlement in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the General Staff said. The strike aimed to weaken Russia’s capacity to produce explosives and rocket fuel.
In Russia’s Tver region, Ukrainian forces targeted the Redkino Experimental Plant, which produces components for Decilin-M fuel used in Kh-55 and Kh-101 cruise missiles, as well as additives for diesel fuel and aviation kerosene.
