UKRAINE, KUPIANSK DISTRICT, Jun. 15 – Ukrainian military evacuated nine people from the village of Putnykove in he Kupiansk district, located about 2 kilometers (1.24 miles) from the frontline, reported Andrii Kanashevych, head of the Kupiansk District Military Administration.
According to Kanashevych, volunteers transported most of the evacuees to Kharkiv, the region’s administrative center, after they had been evacuated by the military. Authorities also provided them with initial support.
The Kupiansk district remains under frequent Russian shelling, prompting ongoing civilian evacuations. Between late May and the first days of June, officers from the White Angel special police evacuation unit rescued 93 people, including 33 children, from high-risk frontline areas in the Kharkiv region.
