KHARKIV OBLAST, Feb 12 — The Russian army increased the number of attacks on Kharkiv and the oblast, according to a spokesman for the Kharkiv Regional State Emergency Service, Yevhen Vasylenko.

“The enemy has started to strike Kharkiv and the region with different types of weapons more often. The increase in enemy attacks began at the end of last year. Most of them were targeted at the residential sector and civilian infrastructure. Unfortunately, there were cases of children killed in the shelling,” he said.

According to Vasylenko, the shelling on February 9 burned 14 residential buildings with a total area of 3,700 square meters. A 400-square-meter warehouse and an oil depot also caught fire.
