On Feb. 20 and 21, the Russian occupiers launched rocket attacks on the city of Kupiansk in Kharkiv Oblast.

This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration (RMA) Oleh Syniehubov.

  • Kharkiv RMA: last day, the enemy shelled more than 25 border settlements of Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, and Kharkiv districts in Kharkiv Oblast.
  • Around 1 p.m., the occupiers shelled the city of Kupiansk in Kharkiv Oblast. An enemy shell hit a private residential building. A 68-year-old man was injured and hospitalized.
  • The village of Hraniv in Kharkiv Oblast was hit by an airstrike.
  • A kindergarten and a sports facility were damaged in Kupiansk.
  • At least four residential and commercial buildings were damaged in Dvorichna and Novoosynove.
  • A residential building was damaged in Vovchansk in the Chuhuiv district.
  • The premises caught fire due to shelling. According to the State Emergency Service, firefighters had to extinguish fires in Vovchansk and Novoosynove and twice had to check the places where enemy shells hit.
  • No casualties have been reported.
  • During the day, pyrotechnics neutralized 37 explosive objects. However, this morning a civilian stood on an unknown explosive device in the village of Rubizhne in the Chuhuiv district. Medics went to the scene, but the condition of the victim is still unknown.
  • General Staff: the enemy continues to focus its efforts on advancing along the Kupiansk direction. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also repelled enemy attacks in Hryanykivka and Masiutivka in Kharkiv Oblast.

Earlier, on Feb. 19 and 20, at least 11 border settlements of the Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, and Kharkiv districts in Kharkiv Oblast were affected by enemy shelling.
