On August 1, around midnight, Russian troops launched a Shahed drone attack on Kharkiv from the territory of the Belgorod region. One civilian was injured, reported Dmytro Chubenko, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office spokesman.
The drones hit the city four times. According to the State Emergency Service, two buildings were damaged. The attack caused a fire.
One drone damaged the educational facility building and dormitory in the Saltivіskyi district. A fire broke out. The second and third floors of the dormitory, ceiling, and roof were partially destroyed.
The UAVs hit the sports complex in the Shevchenkivskyi district three times. The 63-year-old guard was injured and hospitalized.
Moreover, on July 31, Russian soldiers carried out an airstrike in the Druzheliubivka and Udy areas in Kharkiv Oblast. Russian troops attacked at least 14 settlements in Kharkiv Oblast.
On the Kupiansk axis, the Ukrainian military repelled Russian attacks on the east of Berestove in Kharkiv Oblast.
