At least 50 people, including a child, have been killed due to a Russian strike on a local shop in Hroza village, Kupiansk district.

The missile strike was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov.

The bodies of 48 people, including a six-year-old boy, were removed from the rubble. The regional prosecutor’s office said the Russians attacked a village café and shop.

“There is a shop at the site of the strike and a café nearby. There were local residents in the shop, as well as in the cafe, where a wake was held for a deceased fellow villager. In total, there were about 60 people at the site of the strike. So far, 49 people have died, including a six-year-old girl. Seven people were seriously injured and are undergoing surgery. 29 of the dead have already been identified,” Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said.

According to him, 330 people lived in the village.

“One person from each family and household attended the memorial dinner. There is a possibility that one of the locals led the Russian military to the building with a massive crowd,” he added.

UPD: According to the preliminary report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the facility was hit with an Iskander missile.
