UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Apr 10 — During April 9-10, the Russian troops shelled about 20 settlements in the Kharkiv Oblast with artillery, mortars, and airstrikes, said Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

In particular, the Russian shelling injured a 63-year-old man in the village of Starytsia, Chuhuiv district. In Borova, Izium district, they damaged seven houses, a cafe, a garage, a car and outbuildings.

Also, Kozacha Lopan, Strilecha, and Lukiantsі in the Kharkiv Oblast came under Russian artillery and mortar fire. In addition, over the past day, the Russian army hit Kharkiv, Potykhonove, Chaikivka, Hlyboke, Ivanivka, and Borova in the Kharkiv Oblast with airstrikes. The Russian shelling damaged buildings, private houses, outbuildings, and cars.

In addition, on April 9, at about 3 p.m., the Russian army dropped a modified UMPB-D30 glide air bomb on a private company in Kharkiv, injuring four of the company’s employees.

As Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in his evening address on April 7, the government is looking for opportunities to give Kharkiv more air defense. According to him, the transfer of air defense systems to Ukraine by other countries is a political issue.
