The 463rd day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. The adversary continues to shell Kharkiv Oblast with mortars, artillery, and air strikes.

  • A total of 10 Iskander ballistic and cruise missiles were launched from the northern direction – Bryansk region of Russia.
  • The air defence forces and means of the Air Force of Ukraine downed all 10: seven Iskander-M ballistic missiles and three Iskander-K cruise missiles.
  • Over the past day, the adversary launched 3 missiles and 29 air strikes, fired 49 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas, causing civilian injured, private houses and other infrastructure to be damaged.
  • The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains very high.
  • The Russian armed forces continue to focus their main efforts on attempts to fully occupy Luhansk and Donetsk regions: Ukrainian defence forces repelled 21 enemy attacks.

Slobozhanshchyna axis

The adversary continues to maintain a military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine. Within the last day, it carried out an air strike near Pletenivka in Kharkiv region, fired mortar and artillery shells at the settlements of Udy, Hoptivka, Liptsi, Strilecha, Zelene, Ternova, Staritsa, Gatyshche, Vovchansk, Pletenivka, Vovchanski Khutory, Ohirtseve, Mala Vovcha, Varvarovka, Chuhunivka, Ambarne, and Hryhorivka in Kharkiv Oblast.

Kupiansk axis

  • The Russian army conducted unsuccessful offensives west to Masiutivka, and launched air strikes near Kyslivka and Kotlyarivka, Kharkiv region.
  • Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Zakhidne, Masiutivka, Kyslivka, Berestove came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Over 25 settlements in the region were under fire from the army of the aggressor country.

Kharkiv RMA

No attacks on Kharkiv city were recorded yesterday. The adversary continued to shell frontline and border settlements in Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk districts.

According to Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Military Regional Administration, Russians massively shelled Vovchansk, Chuhuiv district, throughout the day. Private houses, civilian industry, a library, and market pavilions were damaged in the town. There were fires. A man in his 60s was killed, and a woman was injured and hospitalized.

In the evening, the Russians again attacked the village of Kivsharivka in Kupyansk district with a guided aerial bomb. A hit was recorded on the territory of the local stadium. The fence was damaged and the blast wave smashed windows in neighbouring houses. There were no casualties.

Yesterday at about 13:30 a tractor hit a mine between Chornohlazivka and Kalynove villages in Bohodukhiv district during field work. Fortunately, no one was injured.

State Emergency Service in Kharkiv Oblast

  • From the morning to almost all day, the occupiers did not stop shelling Vovchansk. During this time, there were five large fires in the city.
  • Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service seized and defused 84 pieces of explosives.
