Ukrainian engineers from the 67th Mechanised Brigade have developed the Khrushch drone. The system is placed on the Ukrainian military research platform Brave Inventors.

The complex can be used for special operations on the front line and behind adversary lines. It consists of three components:

  • a control panel;
  • a carrier drone, and a kamikaze drone.

Depending on the mission, the type of charge attached to the kamikaze drone can be selected:

  • 82 mm high-explosive blast mine,
  • PG-7VL cumulative explosive charge,
  • TBG-7B thermobaric explosive charge.

How it works?

  1. A carrier drone picks up a kamikaze drone with a selected charge.
  2. As it approaches the target, the carrier disconnects the kamikaze drone.
  3. The latter destroys the target.

The Khrushch has a range of 8–10 kilometers and a payload of 3.5 kilograms. The carrier drone also contains a repeater, two guide antennas, a module for mounting the DJI Mavic 3 kamikaze drone and a unique frame.

Among the advantages of the product, the authors highlight

  • High load capacity of up to 1500 grams;
  • protection against interference and trouble-free operation, even in electronic warfare;
  • a robust micromotor with a metal gearbox;
  • fast charging via Type-C connector;
  • long standby time.

The complex is distinguished by its reliability, easy attachment to the drone, and easy use thanks to high-quality nylon Velcro. The inventors are currently looking for investments to develop the product. To do this, they need UAH 400,000 / $10,900.
