Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and the Mayor of the American city of Albuquerque, Timothy Keller, signed a protocol of intentions to establish twinning relations between the cities online on June 29.

During the meeting, Timothy Keller noted that Albuquerque is ready to help Kharkiv with specific matters. He plans to send a fully equipped ambulance and provide assistance in the restoration of Kharkiv, as well as implement joint projects in transport infrastructure and social security.

In turn, Ihor Terekhov noted that Kharkiv has high hopes for cooperation with Albuquerque.

“Our cities are focused on economic well-being, innovation, and entrepreneurship development. These are the spheres we want to deepen. In the end, this will contribute to establishing communication between the residents of Kharkiv and Albuquerque,” Ihor Terekhov noted.

The parties will sign a memorandum on establishing twinning cities relations in July during the visit of the American delegation to Kharkiv.
