About 100 children are currently staying in the communities of Kupiansk district, Kharkiv region, where forced evacuation has been announced. The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, told this during the telethon United News.
“These people have the same motivation – not wanting to leave and lose their property. We explain that the safety of children should come first. That is why we have announced a forced evacuation. The police are conducting explanatory work on the ground. And people are still listening,” the statement said.
According to Syniehubov, all evacuees receive free temporary housing and ongoing material and legal support from international humanitarian organizations.
