Dozens of airstrikes — aftermath of Russian attack on Izium (Photos) 

UKRAINE, IZIUM, Sep. 15 — Since Sep. 14, Russian forces have been attacking Izium in southeastern Kharkiv oblast with glide bombs, missiles, and rocket artillery.

Parts of the city remain without electricity and water supply. Russians killed a 26-year-old man during the attack and injured 13 people, including four children.

According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, around 8 p.m. of Sep. 14, Russian forces attacked the city with rocket artillery using cluster munitions.

At 9:20 p.m., Russian forces began attacking Izium with glide bombs. Local authorities recorded at least 15 impacts within half an hour. The attack damaged at least nine houses and the power grid. 

Another glide bomb hit the city at around 3:30 on Sep. 15, injuring a 77-year-old man and damaging nearly 20 houses.

At nearly 10 a.m., Russian forces again attacked Izium with glide bombs. The Izium military administration recorded over 10 impact sites across different parts of the city. 

At least nine people were injured. Russia also damaged administrative buildings, a mobile communications tower, apartment buildings, and private houses.
