The Russian army hit Ivanivka and Kurylivka in Kharkiv oblast with airstrikes. They also shelled 140 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson oblasts with artillery fire.

General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed about this in their morning briefing on October 23. 

Also, the Ukrainian army fought off 15 attacks by Russian troops in the Kupiansk district near Synkivka and Ivanivka of Kharkiv Oblast. 

In Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, Russians maintain their military presence, conduct diversions, and hold the Ukrainian army in the district, not allowing them to relocate to more threatening directions of the frontline. They also keep increasing mine-explosive barriers along the border in Belgorod Oblast.
