UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Feb 24 — After a Russian air attack on Tsupivka in Derhachi hromada of Kharkiv Oblast, the fire spread through half of the street, said the head of the Derhachi military administration, Viacheslav Zadorenko. He added that the attack injured four people, and there’s a possibility that other people might be trapped under the debris.
As of 12:43 p.m., the information about the injured are: two men, father and son, who are currently hospitalized in the intensive care unit and a 21-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman who were also sent to hospital with shrapnel injuries.
According to Zadorenko, this is the first Russian attack on Tsupivka since this region’s deoccupation by Ukrainian forces in 2022. The scale of destruction is huge, he reports, and, during the day, emergency services were still putting out the fire.
Russians attacked Tsupivka with a glide bomb around 10 a.m. today. A village with a pre-war population of over 1,000 residents now hosts 150 people. Kulik notes that up to 95% of the village was destroyed after the Russian occupation and the combat that followed.
