Aug. 10 — The European Union provided an additional €30 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, said the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

The total of the EU’s donations to the fund reached €279 million, said Denys Shmyhal, the Minister of Energy.

He said that the funds provided through this instrument are helping Ukraine repair its damaged energy infrastructure after Russian attacks.

The Ministry also uses the fund to purchase the necessary equipment to provide power, primarily to critical infrastructure.

In July, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland also supported the fund. The amount donated by these countries is €180 million.

In total, the fund has already received grant funds of nearly €2.120 billion from 39 foreign sponsors in 26 partner countries and 3 international organizations.
