Investigators found that the resident of Vovchansk voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the occupiers and headed the school No. 4, which the invaders created based on a local lyceum.
Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office sent the relevant indictment to court.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the suspect worked with teachers, convincing them to work under the leadership of the occupation administration.
The principal also told the staff that the educational process would be conducted entirely in Russian and according to Russian standards. She organized the delivery of Russian books on various subjects to do this.
In addition, the students were issued certificates of incomplete secondary education printed on the letterhead of the occupation administration.
The suspect also organized the removal of state symbols of Ukraine from the territory of the educational institution and the celebration of the Knowledge day to the Russian anthem with the raising of the tricolor.
The Chuhuiv City Court of Kharkiv Region will consider the case.
According to Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, collaboration is punishable by deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of ten to fifteen years.
