UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Jul. 7 — Ukrainian intelligence intercepted a conversation between Russian soldiers, with one of them saying he found two foreign mercenaries from Bangladesh who were lost in the Kharkiv oblast, said the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The Russian soldier, according to the intercepted conversation, was unaware of Bangladesh soldiers’ call signs or location.
The only thing the Russian managed to find out was the mercenaries’ names: Rubi and Moisel. He also said that they showed him a photo of an emblem with a tiger and the inscription “the 6th assault (brigade — ed.).”
“The leaders of the Russian army continue to send foreign mercenaries to their deaths just as cynically as they do their own soldiers,” noted the Ukrainian intelligence.
In March, Viktor Trehubov, a spokesperson for a military group responsible for the Kharkiv oblast, said that there are more mercenaries among Russian troops in the Kharkiv region than in other areas.
