UKRAINE, Mar 18 — The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allocated $128 million to purchase drones for the Defence Forces, announced Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

“An additional $128 million was allocated today for the security and defense forces. The funds will be used to purchase drones needed for our defenders on the frontline,” Denys Shmyhal said.

According to the Ministry of Economy, agreements worth about $769 million have already been signed with drone manufacturers, and contracts worth $359 million are being prepared.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced that since the beginning of the year, the Ukrainian government has allocated $518 million from the state budget reserve fund for the construction of fortifications.

Denys Shmyhal also reported that the Ukrainian government has allocated $101 million to construct fortifications and defense lines in the Kharkiv Oblast. This is the largest amount among the four oblasts of Ukraine that received money from the reserve fund.
