UKRAINE, May 20 — Tymur Mindich, a businessman and a defendant in the Midas energy corruption case, has filed a lawsuit against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with the Administrative Court of Cassation, said the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine.

On Nov. 13, Zelenskyy approved a decision by the National Security and Defense Council and imposed sanctions against Timur Mindich.

Mindich’s lawsuit was registered on May 14, in which he, as the plaintiff, seeks to have Zelenskyy’s November 2025 decree imposing sanctions against the businessman declared unlawful and annulled.

The decree imposed sanctions for three years.

On Nov. 10, 2025, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) exposed a group comprising current and former officials, including Mindich, suspected of operating a large-scale corruption scheme in the energy sector.

Also, NABU obtained thousands of audio recordings and published some of them, in which members of the organization discuss money laundering.
