UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Apr 8 — A truck with a trailer exploded on a mine near the village of Ivanivka in the Chkalovske community, Chuhuiv district, reported the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv Oblast. Fortunately, the driver was not injured, but the equipment was heavily damaged.
“Ignoring safety rules can lead to irreversible consequences. Avoid moving along unknown or unverified dirt roads. Do not touch any suspicious or unfamiliar objects. Do not visit forests, forest belts, fields, and other open spaces, especially those where battles have taken place or which have been under enemy occupation,” emergency responders caution.
As Ihor Klymenko, the Minister of Internal Affairs, announced, 289 people, including 15 children, have been killed by explosives since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022. According to the minister, some people exploded on mines because they tried to disassemble them or took the explosives home.
