KHARKIV OBLAST, JAN 16 — For the past two weeks, the Russian military has been using guided aerial bombs on the territory of the border town of Vovchansk and the community of the Chuhuiv district in the Kharkiv Oblast.

Tamaz Hambarashvili, the head of the Vovchansk Town Military Administration, told Gwara Media about the situation in the community.

“The shelling has never stopped, we’ve been [shelled] every day: [they were firing at us] from mortars and multiple rocket launchers. But now, we are [also] being actively hit with airstrikes,” Hambarashvili said.

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office noted that the Russian military is shelling civilian objects in Vovchansk. According to the investigation, on January 15 at around 9:50 p.m., a guided aerial bomb hit the city, destroying a civilian enterprise. Later, the Russian army shelled the city park with artillery, damaging monuments.
