“We are sincerely grateful to our partners and everyone involved for this assistance. It is crucial to strengthen the logistics of Kupyansk, as the de-occupied community is under fire from the occupiers almost every day. This vehicle is in good condition and has low mileage. We continue to work together for the Victory,” said Yevhen Ivanov, deputy head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Earlier in June 2023, Switzerland announced humanitarian aid worth CHF 1.2 million (EUR 1.22 million) for demining in Ukraine.

Also, in June 2023, the House of Representatives refused to back a proposal for a CHF5 billion ($5.5 billion) aid package for war-torn Ukraine over the next five to ten years. Most right-of-center parliamentarians swayed the vote on a motion for a multi-year Ukraine aid package.

Switzerland has been criticized for prohibiting other countries from transferring Swiss-made weapons to Kyiv for neutrality reasons. This also applies to Germany, which cannot supply Ukraine with ammunition for the Cheetah self-propelled anti-aircraft missile systems.
