The 471st day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. The adversary continues to shell Kharkiv Oblast with mortars, artillery, and air strikes.

  • Last night, on 9 June 2023, between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m., the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with Iranian Shahed drones and X-101/X-55 air-launched cruise missiles against military and critical infrastructure facilities.
  • The Shahed drones, cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea, and four Tu-95MS strategic bombers were launched from the southern direction.
  • Up to 16 attack UAVs and six air-launched cruise missiles were launched during the attack.
  • Air defence forces and means destroyed four X-101/X-55 cruise missiles, 10 Shahed-136/131 and Lancet attack drones, and four operational and tactical UAVs (Orlan-10 and Supercam).

Slobozhanshchyna axis

The adversary continues to maintain a military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine. It fired mortar and artillery shells at the settlements of Krasne, Morokhovets, Lukiantsi, Starytsia, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Chuhunivka in Kharkiv Oblast.

Kupiansk axis

The adversary conducted air strikes in the Kupyansk sector near Kyslivka. Kamianka, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Kyslivka, Tabaivka, Berestove in Kharkiv Oblast came under artillery and mortar fire.

Kharkiv RMA

Russian occupants struck at civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Bohodukhiv districts of the region yesterday.

The adversary launched a massive attack with Shahed drones on infrastructure facilities in Bohodukhiv district last night. Fires broke out. A civilian man of 33 years old was wounded.

During the day, Russian troops repeatedly shelled the town of Vovchansk in Chuhuiv district. The building of a medical institution, residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged in the city. A 63-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman were wounded and hospitalized.

Mine clearance

Mine clearance works continue in Kharkiv region. The State Emergency Service’s pyrotechnic units discovered and defused 94 explosives and inspected more than 27 hectares of territory yesterday.
