UKRAINE, KHARKIV, Mar 21 — On March 20, at around 1 p.m., the Russian army fired a Kh-35 anti-ship missile at a civilian enterprise in the Kholodnohirskyi district of the city. The strike killed five people and injured ten others, reported the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.

“Nine people were injured: seven of them were hospitalized, one refused hospitalisation, and one is undergoing outpatient treatment. Five people died,”  reported Oleh Syniehubov.

A missile hit a manufacturing enterprise. This attack also damaged warehouses, production equipment, cars, and a multi-story building. The debris is being cleared.

The head of the Investigation Department of the Main Department of National Police in the Kharkiv Oblast, Serhii Bolvinov, said that the victims of the Russian strike are two women and three men. Experts have taken DNA from five bodies and will compare them with samples from relatives of the alleged victims. According to him, sixty-five people were in the building at the time of the attack. The missile’s speed could have been over 1,000 kilometers per hour.

The mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, also noted that rescuers are looking for five people who went missing after the Russian missile attack. The mayor said their identities have been established, but they are neither among the wounded nor among the dead.

At around 1:00 p.m., explosions were heard in Kharkiv. Russian army hit the Kholodnohirskyi district of the city with a cruise missile, injuring people.

“The missile hit the building in the Kholodnohirskyi district of the city. People might be trapped under the rubble. The number of victims is currently unknown,” wrote Serhii Melnik, the head of the Kharkiv garrison.

According to Serhii Bolvinov, the fire broke out over 2,000 square meters due to the shelling. Rescuers and volunteers are working to localize the fire and search for possible victims under the rubble.
