UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, May 18 — The frontline in northern Kharkiv oblast remains one of the most tense, and Russians attacked this area over 150 times in the first half of May, said Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief, during the meeting with 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine Khartiia.
According to Syrskyi, the Khartiia units are conducting an active defense and holding back the Russian advance on this axis.
He noted that the main priorities remain seizing the initiative on the battlefield, inflicting maximum Russian casualties, and saving the lives of Ukrainian defenders.
Also, Mykhailo Fedorov, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, said that Ukrainian engineers developed the first glide bomb, and it’s ready for combat use.
