KHARKIV OBLAST, UKRAINE, Apr 15 — The Russian army hit Slatyne, Vovchansk, Kupiansk, Podoly, Petropavlivka, and Kyslivka in the Kharkiv Oblast with airstrikes, according to the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As reported by the General Staff, 97 combat engagements along the frontline occurred over the past day. Russia launched two missile strikes and 91 airstrikes and fired 160 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.
In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian troops did not conduct any assaults over the past day. As Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, commented to Gwara Media, the situation in the Kupiansk direction is currently calm, and the Russian army is rotating units to renew its offensive in the area.
In the Slobozhanskyi direction, in the border areas, the Russian military conducts intense sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to more dangerous directions and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod Oblast.
In total, the Russian army fired mortars and artillery at more than 110 settlements in the Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts.
