UKRAINE, Oct. 15 – Over the past day Russia launched 850 Shahed drones at Ukraine, killing 6, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, said.

According to him, Ukrainian forces managed to shoot down a majority of the drones, but the attacks still caused casualties and damage.

One of the largest attacks targeted Kirovohrad oblast, killing three people. Three more people were killed in Russian attacks on Dnipropetrovsk oblast.

Zelenskyy claimed Russia took advantage of the moment when Ukraine’s defensive capabilities were artificially restricted. He was referring to the restrictions on Starlink speed— Ukraine’s interceptor drones that down Russian drones fly quickly and are equipped with Starlink terminals.
