UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Jun. 24 — Over the past day, Russia attacked Kharkiv and 18 settlements of the region, killing one person, injuring eight others, Oleh Syniehubov, the governor of the region, reported.
In total, Russian troops deployed one missile, one glide bomb, and 56 drones of different types during the attacks on the Kharkiv region, Syniehubov added.
In Kharkiv, two women aged 54 and 32 suffered an acute stress reaction after the Russian attack.
Russian forces hit several settlements in the Izium district, killing a 56-year-old woman, injuring a 21-year-old woman in the city of Balakliia, which was liberated during Kharkiv’s counteroffensive in 2022, and injuring a 57-year-old man in the village of Borova.
In the Chuhuiv district, Russian attacks injured a 58-year-old man in the village of Pechenihy and a 79-year-old man in the village of Buhaiivka.
A Russian strike also injured a 68-year-old woman in the village of Shevchenkove in the Kupiansk district.
In the village of Tsupivka in the Derhachi community, located nine kilometers (5.6 miles) from the Russian border, Russian forces injured a 58-year-old man. At 8:00 a.m., Jun. 23, a Russian drone attack directly targeted and severely injured another 58-year-old local on a motorcycle.
Overall, Russian strikes caused the most damage to civilian infrastructure in the Bohodukhiv district. The attacks also damaged civilian property in the Kupiansk, Izium, Kharkiv, Lozova, and Chuhuiv districts of the region.
