UKRAINE, Nov 7 – Law enforcement officers are investigating the executions of 124 Ukrainian soldiers who were killed on the battlefield during the surrender, reported the Office of the Prosecutor General.

A total of 49 criminal proceedings have been opened over these war crimes. This year, the number of cases of killing of prisoners of war has reached a record high since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Most cases of murder are documented in the Donetsk region, where the last executions occurred just a few days ago. 

On October 23, the Russians killed three prisoners of war in the town of Selydove, and on November 1, three more were killed near the village of Vyshneve in the Selydove community.

On October 21, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported that the Russian troops have recently increased the number of systematic executions of Ukrainian prisoners of war with impunity.
