UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, Oct 2 — Over the past day, Russian troops lost 127 troops in the Kharkiv direction. Of these, 11 Russian servicemen surrendered, reported the “Kharkiv” group of forces.
Russia started its new offensive north and northeast in the Kharkiv region in May, but Ukrainian troops have stabilized the frontline in this section since. Now, heavy battles are ongoing in and around Vovchansk (three miles from the border, 46 miles away from Kharkiv) and near Lyptsi (six miles from the border, 12 miles from Kharkiv.)
The “Kharkiv” reported that in Hlyboke, Russian troops focused on aerial reconnaissance and surveillance of Ukrainian forces. Near Starytsia, there were single personnel movements, probably for evacuation, logistics, and reinforcement.
In Vovchansk, the Russian military strengthened assault groups and established communication between positions, “Kharkiv” wrote.
Over the past day, the Russian military conducted four airstrikes in the Kharkiv direction using six glide bombs (KABs), launched 37 kamikaze drone strikes, and fired 317 times at Ukrainian positions.
According to “Kharkiv,” Russians also lost an armored combat vehicle, seven vehicles, one special equipment vehicle, and 25 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the past day in the Kharkiv direction.
