On April 20, Russians continued to shell the border settlements of Kharkiv, Kupiansk and Chuhuiv districts.
General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
In particular, Russian troops shelled:
- Strilecha, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Petropavlivka, Karaichne, Zemlyanka, Ustynivka, Odradne, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zakhidne and Berestove villages.
- In the Slobozhanskyy sector, the situation remained unchanged, with no signs of enemy offensive groups forming.
Kharkiv Regional Military Administration
At least 2 private houses were damaged in Kupiansk. In addition, the enemy fired at Dvorichna and Kucherivka village in Kupyansk district with artillery and mortars. There were no casualties, the head of Kharkiv RMA Oleh Syniehubov said.
State Emergency Service
Mine clearance continues: pyrotechnics neutralized 105 explosive devices over the day. However, the mine danger is still high.
Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office
Currently, prosecutors provide procedural control in nearly 14,500 crimes involving violations of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), which are being investigated by investigators from the security service and police agencies. Kharkiv region is now the second-worst region in terms of such indicators after Donetsk region.
