Day 491 of the Russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun. The adversary continued to shell Kharkiv Oblast with mortars, artillery, and air strikes.

Current situation in Ukraine

  • Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Bakhmut, Melitopol and Berdiansk directions. Thus, in the Rivnopillia-Volodyno direction, Ukraine’s forces have partially succeeded, consolidating their positions, inflicting artillery fire on the enemy’s targets, and conducting counter-battery combat.
  • Ukrainian troops seized the strategic initiative in the Bakhmut sector and are conducting offensive operations on a broad front. Ukrainians continued to pressure the adversary on the flanks near Bakhmut, driving them out of previously captured positions.
  • Russian invaders struck with Iranian Shahed strike UAVs. Our air defense destroyed six kamikaze drones. In addition, the enemy launched 2 missile and 50 air strikes, fired 52 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and settlements.
  • The likelihood of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.
  • The adversary continues to focus its primary efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, and Maryinka axes, with more than 40 combat engagements occurring on June 28.

Slobozhanshchyna axis

Russian army conducted an air strike in the area of Ruska Lozova in Kharkiv district. The adversary carried out mortar and artillery attacks on the settlements of Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Mali Prokhody, Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Bochkove, Nesterne, Kruhle and Budarky in Kharkiv Oblast.

Kupiansk axis

More than 20 settlements, including Kolodyazne, Figolivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Kindrashivka, Kupiansk, Masiutivka, Kyslivka, Berestove in Kharkiv Region came under artillery and mortar fire.

Kharkiv RMA

Russian occupants shelled frontline and border settlements in Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Izyum and Kupyansk districts of the region yesterday.

During the night, at about midnight, the enemy launched a missile attack from the S-300 system on the city of Chuhuiv. There were hits to the ground. Residential buildings nearby and cars were damaged. Preliminary, there were no casualties.

As a result of shelling from Uragan MLRS in Kurylivka village, Kupyansk district, private houses were damaged. A 70-year-old woman was wounded. The victim was hospitalized in a serious condition.

Three civilian men, aged 45, 48 and 57, were killed in the village of Vovchanski Khutory, Chuhuiv district.

A private house and outbuildings were damaged in Kolodyazne village of Kupyansk district.

The shelling of the village of Zelenyi Hai in Izium district damaged the building of a pumping station.

Mine clearance

Mine clearance works are ongoing. State Emergency Service pyrotechnics inspected more than 6 hectares of territory and defused 93 explosives.
