UKRAINE, Oct 28 — Ministry of Health reports that 901 medical facilities damaged by the Russians during full-scale invasion have been fully (551 facilities) and partially (350) repaired.
Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipro, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions suffered the greatest losses in terms of damaged or destroyed healthcare facilities during the full-scale war.
Most facilities have been repaired in the Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Kyiv, and Chernihiv regions. These are medical facilities in the deoccupied territories and those that have suffered minor damage, such as broken windows, roofs, facade damage, etc.
“The reconstruction and restoration of medical facilities, where doctors can work, and patients can access the necessary medical care, are ongoing. The reconstruction of medical facilities will continue,” the Ministry of Health said.
The Ministry of Education and Science notes that during the large-scale war, Russians destroyed 226 medical facilities that cannot be restored. Another 1,685 medical facilities were damaged.
The Russians also damaged 231, destroyed 263, and captured 125 ambulances.
