UKRAINE, KHARKIV OBLAST, June 7 — There have been four combat engagements in the Kupiansk direction since the beginning of the day. There were no assaults on the Kharkiv axis, reported the General Staff.

On May 10, Russia launched a new ground offensive north and northeast of the Kharkiv region, in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi directions. Russia’s primary goal in a new offensive would be to stretch Ukrainian troops and resources and force Ukraine to redistribute manpower and military equipment along the frontline.  

The General Staff informs that in the Kupiansk direction, the Russian army tried to storm Ukrainian positions near Pishchane, Druzheliubivka, and Hrekivka. The assaults are ongoing. General Staff noted, that Ukrainian troops didn’t lose any positions.

Earlier, the DeepState monitoring channel reported that Russian troops have occupied the village of Ivanivka on the Kupiansk axis region. Gwara Media wasn’t able to verify this information.

Russia did not conduct any assaults in the Kharkiv direction (north of the region). The General Staff reports that the Russian army is regrouping.Read more
